Award Categories

Best EdTech Company in Africa

This award honors an education technology company that has significantly improved learning outcomes through innovative products, tools, platforms, or services. Whether it’s through mobile apps, AI-powered learning systems, or online content delivery, the winner must demonstrate scalability, innovation, user experience, and measurable impact.

STEM Advancement Award (for Schools or Initiatives)

Awarded to a school or initiative that has made a remarkable contribution to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education in Africa. This could include robotics programs, science fairs, coding clubs, math bootcamps, or partnerships driving female participation in STEM.

Digital Learning Platform of the Year

Celebrates a platform that provides high-quality, accessible, and scalable digital education. This could be a school-led LMS, a nonprofit e-learning initiative, or a commercial platform serving thousands of learners across the continent with engaging, curriculum-aligned content.


Impact Criteria

Nominees must demonstrate:

  • Innovation in approach, tools, or delivery
  • Reach and accessibility (urban and underserved areas)
  • Evidence of measurable learning outcomes
  • Contribution to the African Union’s education goals
  • Responsiveness to 21st-century learning needs

Nomination Details

To nominate an EdTech company, platform, or STEM initiative:

  • Choose the relevant category
  • Provide a detailed description (max 300 words)
  • Share supporting links, images, testimonials, or videos
  • Include one representative for follow-up
