Public participation is an integral part of the Prestige Africa Education Awards, ensuring that voices from across Africa and beyond are heard in celebrating excellence in education. While the Jury plays a central role in scoring nominees, the public vote adds a unique dimension of recognition and support.
Evaluation Process
Weight of Public Votes
Public Votes account for 30% of the total score for each nominee.
The remaining 70% is determined by the Jury.
This ensures a balance between popular support and expert evaluation.
One-Person-One-Vote Policy
To maintain fairness and credibility:
Each verified individual is allowed only one vote per category.
Multiple or duplicate votes by the same person will not be accepted.
Verification will be enforced through measures such as email confirmation or OTP verification, and IP checks.
Any attempt at manipulation will lead to disqualification of fraudulent votes.
How Voting Works
1. The public voting portal opens when nominees are announced.
2. Voters must complete a simple registration/verification process before casting their vote.
3. Each vote is counted and added to the nominee’s score in real time.
4. The final tallies (Jury + Public) are submitted to the Judges for confirmation of winners.
Why Public Voting Matters
It gives students, educators, parents, and the community a chance to celebrate their champions.
It promotes transparency and inclusivity in the Awards.
It encourages schools, educators, and organizations to engage their communities in the process.
